Our Story...
Our story

In January 2022, Chris and Rose climbed to the very top of Mount Vesuvius. From the ancient peak, they could see their past, present, and future. There were their treasured Italian roots. There was the sea that ferried their ancestors to America. And as they held hands at the top of the world, they could see themselves in love now and forever. Their story started two years earlier in 2020 at an old-school restaurant in a hidden corner of Little Italy. Music was playing, wine was flowing, sparks were lit. Chris did the unthinkable. He walked away from an unfinished plate of pasta and, as a dear friend belted out Louis Prima, he bravely asked Rose her name. Little did they know that soon they’d be quarantining together, keeping each other filled with laughter and hope at a time when there wasn’t much of either. After just a few weeks of dating, they moved their pandemic pod from Manhattan to cowgirl country in Texas at Rose’s family cabin on the beautiful Llano river. It was a non-stop 36-hour road trip. Rose and Chris traveled so well together, that they realized they could journey with each other for their rest of their lives. Their adventures have led them to Italy many times, an epic marriage proposal in New York City, and now to this next beautiful moment—one they want to share with their most treasured friends and family. Join Rose and Chris as they celebrate the love they saw atop Mount Vesuvius!

Newlywed Fund

We love and appreciate the generosity of our friends and family, but a 700 square foot apartment in NYC (and Rose’s habit of rescuing sidewalk antiques) has left us little room for items from a registry. Instead, we are asking for cash gifts to put towards some of our long-term home-making goals.
